HCVA Information

Houston County Virtual Academy (HCVA) is a new learning option for students in grades 9-12 who would like to earn a high school diploma but do not wish to participate in the full, in-person high school experience.

  • Coursework meets TN state standards
  • Online support will be available from 7:30 am-7:30 pm Monday-Friday
  • Coursework will be self-paced and available 24/7
  • Weekly progress will be monitored to ensure attendance/participation and academic requirements are met
  • No enrollment cost to families
  • Available to Houston County residents in grades 9-12

 

HCVA is not the right choice for everyone, as students enrolled in HCVA will not be allowed to participate in sports/extracurriculars/activities at HCHS, but if your student wants to simply earn their high school diploma at their own pace in order to move on to post-secondary educational or job opportunities, this may be the program for them.
